LATEST REVIEW

Such an improvement from the original honeybear!!

I am so thankful to have found these. My daughter has to and can only use a HB cup for oral eating. She has a GTube and our speech therapist put her on a HB a year ago with great successes!! BUT my husband and I hate them bc the caps break off and our daughter constantly pulls the straw out and throws it across the room 🤦‍♀️. This purchase was a saving grace and I’m happy to see such great design improvements! THANK YOU!!

HOW TO USE

Honey Bear Straw Cup Made Just for Babies

Honey Bear Care:

=
Prior to first use washing thoroughly with warm soapy water.
=
Bottles, straws and lids are dishwasher safe.
=
Hand wash recommended for longer term use.

Inserting The Straw:

The straws are designed to have a very tight fit. They can initially be difficult to insert. To aid in insertion straws use water or dish soap and push straw down from the top and pull from the bottom. Straws can also be warmed slightly in hot water for easier insertion.

Teaching Your Baby or Child to Use a Straw:

  1. Fill bear with water, breastmilk or formula.
  2. Offer cup by holding it near their mouth.
  3. Once your child opens their mouth to accept straw, gently squeeze a small amount of the beverage into their mouth.
  4. Some children will close their lips around the straw immediately and swallow. Some will take a few tries to understand to do this. Take breaks and keep trying.
  5. After your child has started to demonstrate they are swallowing the beverage after some is squeezed, try offering the straw without squeezing to see if they will begin to suck.
  6. Go back and forth between offering straw with squeezes of beverage and without to prompt sucking.
  7. Keep trying, some babies learn faster than others and some babies are ready younger than others.
  8. *If using the Honey Bear Straw Cup for speech or oral therapies please consult your care provider or specialist for proper therapeutic application.
